Terms and Conditions for Shelf 2 Self

Read the Terms & Conditions that govern your use of Shelf 2 Self guidebooks, counselling, webinars, and admission services.

1. Definitions and Interpretation

For the purpose of these Terms & Conditions, unless the context otherwise requires, the following expressions shall have the meanings assigned to them below:

Shelf 2 Self, S2S, we, us or our means Shelf 2 Self, its owner, team members, representatives, authorised service providers, and persons acting on its behalf.

Website or Platform means the Shelf 2 Self website, webpages, forms, payment pages, downloadable resources, and any related online interface used to provide the Services.

User, you or your means any visitor, student, parent, guardian, purchaser, subscriber, counselling requester, webinar participant, or any person using the Website or Services.

Services means UG admission guidebooks, digital guidebook access, course-wise preference lists, cut-off trend information, eligibility details, university information, free sample pages, free webinars, admission guidance, counselling, query support, and related services provided by Shelf 2 Self.

Digital Products or Guidebooks means all paid or free digital resources offered through Shelf 2 Self, including guidebooks, PDFs, course lists, preference lists, university-wise resources, sample pages, and downloadable or viewable content.

Counselling or Admission Guidance means personalised support, query response, DU preference list support, or guidance related to UG admissions, course choices, college preferences, cut-off trends, and related doubts.

Payment Gateway means any third-party payment processor, UPI interface, card processor, wallet, net banking service, or other payment service provider integrated with or used by the Website.

Order means a purchase, subscription, booking, or transaction initiated by a User for any paid Service or Digital Product.

Words importing the singular include the plural and vice versa. Headings are used only for convenience and shall not affect interpretation.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Website, creating an account, purchasing a Guidebook, submitting a query, registering for a webinar, booking admission guidance, or using any Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the Refunds & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Website or Services.

3. Nature of Services

Shelf 2 Self provides informational and educational support for UG admissions. The Services may include organised UG guidebooks, course-wise preference lists, cut-off trends, eligibility details, university information, DU preference list support, free sample pages, free webinar updates, and personalised admission guidance.

The Services are intended to help Users make more informed admission-related choices. They do not replace official university notifications, counselling portals, prospectuses, or admission rules.

4. User Account and Registration

Certain Services may require registration or login. You agree to provide accurate and updated information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity carried out through your account.

5. Guidebook Access and Use

After successful payment, access to the selected Guidebook or Digital Product may be provided through the Website, user account, download link, email, Google Drive link, or any other approved mode. Unless otherwise mentioned, access to paid guidebooks shall be available for 3 Months from the date of purchase.

Guidebooks and Digital Products are provided for personal and non-commercial use only. Users shall not copy, resell, upload, forward, reproduce, distribute, share publicly, modify, scrape, or commercially exploit any paid or protected content without prior written permission from Shelf 2 Self.

6. Free Sample Pages and Free Webinars

Shelf 2 Self may provide free sample pages for selected courses and free webinar sessions from time to time. Free resources are provided for preview, awareness, and general guidance.

Availability, format, schedule, and content of free resources may be changed, postponed, withdrawn, or discontinued at the sole discretion of Shelf 2 Self.

7. Counselling and Admission Guidance

Users may submit details such as name, mobile number, email address, course preference, target universities or colleges, gender, category, NCWEB or SOL preference, CUET UG score, and specific admission doubts for the purpose of counselling or admission guidance.

After submitting a counselling or guidance request, the User may be directed to a Payment Gateway. The applicable amount, if any, will be displayed before payment confirmation. Shelf 2 Self may contact Users on their mobile number, preferably WhatsApp number, during working hours. Admission guidance is advisory in nature and does not guarantee admission, seat allotment, college allocation, course allocation, scholarship, document approval, or any final outcome.

8. Accuracy and Official Verification

Shelf 2 Self makes reasonable efforts to organise information accurately using available admission data, official-source based information, cut-off trends, and university details. However, admission rules, eligibility criteria, fees, seat matrix, reservation rules, course availability, cut-offs, deadlines, and university policies may change at any time.

Users must verify all final information from the official university website, admission portal, prospectus, or competent authority before making final admission decisions.

9. No Admission Guarantee

Shelf 2 Self does not guarantee admission to any university, college, course, category, seat, or programme. Final outcomes depend on the concerned admission authority, CUET UG score, category, eligibility, documents, seat availability, preference order, applicable rules, and other factors beyond the control of Shelf 2 Self.

10. Payments, Discounts and Offers

All paid Orders must be completed through the Payment Gateway or approved payment method. By making payment, you confirm that you have reviewed the product or service name, price, description, access details, validity, and applicable policies before completing the transaction.

Shelf 2 Self may offer instant discounts, coupon codes, limited-time offers, or promotional benefits at checkout. Offers may be modified, paused, withdrawn, or restricted at any time without prior notice. Discounts cannot be claimed retrospectively after a purchase has been completed, unless expressly stated by Shelf 2 Self.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Website, including guidebooks, PDFs, preference lists, tables, text, designs, illustrations, layouts, logos, graphics, names, branding, and related materials, is the intellectual property of Shelf 2 Self or its licensors. Unauthorised copying, sharing, reproduction, publication, resale, distribution, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

12. Reviews and User Content

Users may submit reviews, feedback, comments, testimonials, or messages. By submitting such content, the User grants Shelf 2 Self a non-exclusive right to use, display, edit for clarity, and publish such feedback for service improvement, website display, and promotional purposes.

Users shall not submit abusive, defamatory, false, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, obscene, or harmful content.

13. Communication Consent

By submitting your contact details, you consent to being contacted by Shelf 2 Self through mobile call, WhatsApp, SMS, email, or similar communication channels for order updates, guidebook access, counselling support, webinar updates, payment confirmation, service information, and customer support.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shelf 2 Self shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary loss arising from the use of the Website or Services, including admission loss, missed deadlines, non-allotment of seat, changes in university rules, Payment Gateway failure, internet issues, technical downtime, or reliance on information without official verification.

15. Third-Party Platforms

The Website may use or link to third-party platforms, including payment gateways, Google Drive, Instagram, email services, WhatsApp, or official university websites. Shelf 2 Self is not responsible for the terms, privacy practices, availability, errors, or acts of third-party platforms.

16. Changes to Terms

Shelf 2 Self may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The updated version shall be posted on the Website with the revised date. Continued use of the Website or Services after such update shall constitute acceptance of the revised terms.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, courts or competent tribunals having jurisdiction over the principal place of business of Shelf 2 Self shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions.
